Wow, those look incredible! I'm totally jealous! I think Tama makes some of the best stuff these days. Let us know how they sound/play once you give them a proper workout.

I've seen that kit in MD for quite some time now and always dug the finish and wood-grain... very exotic and hip. IMO this is for sure the coolest kit TAMA makes... can't wait to hear (some blast beats on) it!

    forgive my ignorance...

What the freak is a "blast beat"?

I have a feeling I'll immediately lose interest as soon as I find out...

I'm coming up on my 25th year of playing and I've been thinking a lot about getting a really nice set. Been digging around the net looking at Brady, DW, Pearl Masterworks and Masters, and some other custom companies.

I walked into GC Hollywood and I saw the kit that I've been freakin' on for a couple of months and took the plunge. It comes tommorrow to my place. I am very excited! Here is a picture!tamaexotixgc

Congratulations on the new set! I really like the finish on it. Let us know if you ever get some sound samples going.

Btw, What are the dimensions on those toms?
